Winter Squash Casserole

INGREDIENTS
6 cups mashed Winter Squash 1.5 L
1/2 cup butter, melted 125 mL
6 eggs, beaten 6
1 cup sugar 250 mL
1/2 tsp salt 2 mL

TOPPING:
1 cup packed brown sugar 250 mL
1/2 cup butter, softened 125 mL
1/4 cup all-purpose flour 60 mL
1/2 cup slivered almonds 125 mL

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Pour into an un-greased 13” x 9” x 2” (23 cm x 33 cm x 5 cm) baking dish.

Combine topping ingredients and crumble over the top. Bake, uncovered, at 350° F (180° C) for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted near the centre comes out clean.
